Hi, Everyone—

Hope your week is going well. I’m just popping in to see if you all had a chance to check out our 30 second clip of LAST HOUR and FREEDOM OF SPEECH. Please tell me what you think and also what you want to see on this blog!

So I’m going to back track here and talk about some other films that are definitely worth watching. Please check out THE AMAZING GRACE and 500 YEARS LATER. I’ve posted the synopsis of both films below and let me tell you both of these films will leave you extremely proud of your lineage…at least I know I was.

THE AMAZING GRACE

John Newton is a captain of a slave ship moored off the coast of Nigeria. He stands at a crossroads in his life, his morality and religion at odds with the brutality of his chosen profession. Stepping ashore, he starts on a journey of redemption that will end in tragedy but prove the catalyst for greater achievements. A local anthem sung in adversity by the slaves he captures punctuates the film. It will be the inspiration for John Newton's redemption, and, years later, for his writing of the world's most enduring hymn, Amazing Grace.

500 YEARS LATER

Crime, poor education, poverty, self-hatred, incarceration, broken homes plague people of African descent globally – why? From the onset of the African Holocaust of enslavement and colonialism, Africans are still struggling for basic freedom. Filmed in five continents, 500 Years Later is a critically acclaimed multi-award winning timeless and compelling journey, infused with the spirit and music of liberation. It chronicles the struggle of a people who have fought and continue to fight for the most essential human right – self determination.

All the best and welcome to the evolution.
